Sometimes called “Huckleberry”, Vaccinium is a native blueberry to the southern States. It is semi-deciduous tree like shrub and produces edible berries that harden off in late spring.
This Huckleberry has a 6” nebari that tapers nicely into its main trunk line. If you look closely at the picture you can see the white bell flowers appearing on the ends of the new shoots. Huckleberry grow best in partial shade and their zone is 5-9.
